This work was a series of paintings done between October and December 2001 on a billboard in Plymouth,
Massachusetts, generously donated by radio station WPLM. It was created as the artist's tribute to the tragic events
of September 11. The first picture represented the total disaster as imagined by the artist, but as the weeks passed,
the picture was repainted to reflect the rescue efforts made by new American heroes. The final painting depicted
the nation's perseverance and its spiritual rebirth. This project created quite a stir within the local community
and was featured several times in Plymouth's Old Colony Memorial newspaper.
